Bonnie Clark lives in Canton, GA with her husband/hairdresser & their three ridiculously cute children. They have a French bulldog named King Louie Sajak, that she bought herself with her winnings from Wheel of Fortune, and recently added a new Frenchie to the family: Queen Tysie Encarnacion.
Bonnie has always enjoyed words and writing, but she has a special affection for picture books. Weekly trips to the library with her kids is one of her favorite things to do, and even though her older two are on to chapter books, they still like listening to mom read a picture book. (Some of their favorites are: Doll-E 1.0 by friend and critique partner Shanda McCloskey, Maple by Lori Nichols, The Book With No Pictures by B.J. Novak, and ANYTHING by Mo Willems.) Bonnie loves a book that will make her laugh, cry or think for a long, long time. She enjoys writing for children because she believes that childhood is THE most important time in a person’s life- the part that shapes who we become as adults. Picture books are powerful, and Bonnie hopes that her children and others who read her books will remember the messages and draw from them when they need to later in life.
Bonnie is a member of the SCBWI and writes for grown-ups at www.lifeloveandletters.com
When she isn’t writing, Bonnie is lifting weights, doing yoga, reading a book or waiting for date night ALL while drinking coffee. Her favorite place in the world is ANY beach.
